In the Classroom Workshops for Students

Dates and times TBD
Capitol Center teaching artists have developed highly interactive, integrated activities that will introduce students to the relevant topics before seeing selected School Series performances, or aid students in analyzing themes after the theater experience. All activities link to NH curriculum frameworks and provide students with a deeper understanding of the performance, literature and reading connections and the world around them.

Workshops are available for the performances listed below either before or after your group’s attendance at the performances (or both!).  Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes in length and can be scheduled for one to two weeks before or after each show date.  The Capitol Center will contact you to schedule the sessions.  For Grades K-12; $40 per classroom (25 students maximum per class.)

Slam Poet Iyeoka Ivie Okoawo (October 21)
JIGU! Thunder Drums of China (November 22)
We the People (December 2)
ZooZoo (April 11)
