Campaign for the Curtain

(On the next page, under Apeal Name, choose "CCA Campaign for the Curtain" and then, under Fund Name, choose "Operating.")

Help the Capitol Center for the Arts replace the mainstage curtain! Every dollar counts!

Things to know about a mainstage theater curtain:

  • Theater curtains are continually damaged by equipment and sets from touring productions and are susceptible to damage by conditions of the building, including humidity and lighting.
  • The mainstage curtain is the fire curtain; in the event of a backstage fire, the mainstage curtain drops in when the alarm goes off and becomes a shield.
  • If theater curtains are damaged and stretched, they cannot withstand the water from the sprinkler system in the event of a fire.
Donate now and help the Capitol Center purchase a new mainstage curtain made of a safer fabric that can withstand the many touring productions we bring to Concord!

Make an Annual Fund donation now
