The Ride Ahead
Bringing stories of "Love, Tattoos, and other Disabled Things". The film follows Samuel Habib, a typical 21-year-old, itching to move out, start a career, and find love. But no one tells you how to be an adult, let alone an adult with a disability. Can a community of disability activists help him follow his dreams?
“THE RIDE AHEAD steers clear of any of the old tropes around disability. There is humor, drama, and vibrant connections between Samuel and his mentors, like the late Judy Heumann. THE RIDE AHEAD is the authentic representation that the world needs to see.” - Jim LeBrecht (Co-Director of CRIP CAMP and Executive Producer of THE RIDE AHEAD)
The film will be shown with open captions and audio description. Please let us know if you have additional accommodation requests in the "Comments" section of your ticket order!
Proceeds from this event will benefit Community Bridges. If you’d like to increase your donation, simply increase your per-ticket price beyond the $22.25 minimum.
A limited number of free tickets are available to members of the disability community who are not able to purchase tickets. Contact us if you are interested, limit two free tickets per request on a first come, first serve basis.
