Founded in the Fall of 2021, The NH Jazz Orchestra’s mission is to connect some of the most talented musicians in the region to audiences that appreciate the excitement and performance of ‘Big Band’ music. Honing and crafting this ensemble to the highest standards of the genre is its Music Director, Clayton “Skip” Poole. Skip’s over 45-year career in the big band business working with literally the best headliners and musicians in the world, gives him a unique perspective and knowledge which he shares with both the ensemble and audiences alike to create a one-of-a-kind experience for all involved. Clayton’s son CJ ,the assistant director, adds the component of a younger perspective with his talents as a bassist and vocalist. Additionally, The NH Jazz Orchestra strives to fund music education through their collaborative residencies throughout NH and live performances across Greater New England.
