Bestselling, award-winning children's recording artist Laurie Berkner is widely recognized as the uncrowned queen of children’s music. Laurie's albums, released on her own label, have been bestsellers on a chart typically dominated by movie soundtracks and major label compilations. With more than 1.7 billion total streams, an average of more than 22 million monthly streams, more than 578 million YouTube channel views, and millions of CDs and DVDs sold, Laurie’s songs have become beloved classics for children worldwide. Her debut DVD, which went quadruple platinum, was the first-ever indie children’s music DVD to enter Billboard’s Top Music Video chart at #1. Laurie’s 18th album, Walking With The Penguins, will be released in June 2026.
 
A longtime fixture on TV’s Noggin, Nick Jr., and Universal Kids (formerly Sprout) channels, Laurie was the first recording artist to ever appear in music videos on Noggin and Nick Jr. and was featured in nearly all the episodes of those channels’ Jack’s Big Music Show. Laurie can also be heard in two seasons of the ten-chapter Audible Original series, Laurie Berkner’s Song & Story Kitchen. She is prominently featured in the children’s music documentary Happy and You Know It, which debuted on HBO in December 2025 and is available to stream on HBO Max.

Laurie has written the music and lyrics for three children's musicals originally produced Off-Broadway by New York City Children’s Theater and now presented regionally.
 
Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers has published three picture books with Laurie, each based on one of her songs: We Are the Dinosaurs, Pillowland, and Monster Boogie.
